Laundry Powder

Extensive research was conducted into the clothes and general fabrics that come into contact daily with our skin. Sudden flare-ups of irritant contact eczema could occur at any time with patients having sensitive skin and generally all sufferers of eczema, dry skin, itchy skin &psoriasis. Our team directed their attentions to the laundry powders, fluids and conditioners popular with so many households.

Chemists from the world’s leading producers of healthcare products were recruited by Skin Salveation to analyse the products on the market.

It was of no surprise to find that the many of the well known brands marketed on the promise of brighter, cleaner, fragrant and conditioned fabrics contained a' cocktail' of chemicals including A.P.E.'s (Alkyl phonol ethoxylates, Chlorine, Phthalates and Benzene. This just a selection of the some of the more prevalent chemicals in use this does not include the known hazardous ingredients that were discovered.

It was absolutely clear that any sensitive skin that came into contact with the residue of these chemicals found in daily laundry could activate by adding perspiration or moisture creating a severe chemical reaction further damaging already vulnerable skin.

This problem was even more acute on infant skin causing potentially long term damage, atopic eczema, which would continue to be vulnerable throughout life causing flare-ups of chronic eczema when even the mildest irritation was encountered by external pollutants.

Skin Salveation conducted further research into natural cleansers for fabrics that would clean effectively, hygienically and leave clothing naturally fresh smelling.

Our laundry powder is sold worldwide and for over 20 years been part of families’ daily cleansing regime. It is known to assist in beating eczema, psoriasis and many dry itchy skin conditions by minimising exposure to unnecessary chemicals.

Instructions
Place one measure of the laundry powder in the soap tray and wash as normal. One measure is sufficient for all loads,  if you use more than one measure an excessive amount of lather will be produced.

For perfect results do not use any softener, fabric conditioner or stain removers. Skin Salveation laundry powder should not harm delicate fabrics, but as a precaution always test a hidden area before washing the entire garment.

For stubborn stains gently rub the stain with the enclosed bar of Skin Salveation stain remover as a pre wash, this will loosen the majority of stubborn stains.

Skin Salveation laundry powder works equally well at high or low temperatures, but try to use a low temperature for your wash, it is kinder to your clothes and conserves energy.
